One Month of Bunched: How Families Are Using the App

It’s been one month since we launched Bunched to the world, and we’ve loved seeing families make the app their own.

From sharing baby photos with grandparents to keeping those special memories in one place, families are using Bunched in ways that go beyond simply uploading photos.

They’re creating private spaces for the people who matter most, staying connected across distances, and making sure everyday moments don’t get lost in group chats, all while staying away from the distractions of social media and addictive algorithims.

Built for real family moments

One of our users described Bunched as a way to share photos and videos with family abroad rather than posting them on social media for everyone to see.

Another said:

“This is such a fantastic app for families/friends to share photos. Photos are all in your album and whoever you have invited to join your album can view and upload any photos they want to share.”

That’s exactly what we hoped Bunched would become. A place where everyone can contribute, not just one person uploading photos while everyone else watches.

We’ve also heard from families who love having one place to stay connected without relying on multiple group chats. One user described it as:

“Easy to use, including for parents and grandparents. Love how accessible it is and keeps everyone easily connected without multiple group chats.”

And for families who live further apart, that connection has been especially meaningful. Sharing a photo is lovely, but being able to react, comment, and see everyone else’s memories makes it feel much more like being part of everyday family life.

Making Bunched even better

Since launch, we’ve been listening closely to what users love about Bunched and looking for ways to make those parts even better.

We’ve made changes to improve the flow of the app, making it easier to move around, find memories, and understand what to do next. We’ve also taken feedback from users and built on the features they already enjoy, rather than adding things simply for the sake of it.

The goal is simple: Bunched should feel easy, natural, and enjoyable for everyone, whether you’re a parent uploading your latest photos or a grandparent checking in from another country.

New features to help you discover more memories

We’ve also introduced new features designed to help families get more from the memories they’ve already shared.

Memory Moments

Memory Moments highlight things you might have missed, helping bring older uploads back into view. With so many photos being shared, it’s easy for a special moment to disappear beneath newer ones.

Memory Moments give those photos another chance to be seen, enjoyed, and remembered.

On This Day

On This Day brings back memories from the same date in previous weeks, months or years, making it easy to revisit birthdays, holidays, milestones, and everyday moments from the past.

It’s a simple way to see how much can change over time, and how quickly the little moments become the ones you want to look back on.

Interactive profiles and Latest Uploads

We’ve also introduced interactive profiles, making it easier to explore the people in your bunch and see their latest uploads.

Whether you want to catch up on what a grandparent has shared, see the newest photos from your children, or find out what a particular family member has been up to, simply click on the members' profile image up top and to make your app experience more personal and connected.

More than just a photo album

One of the things we’ve enjoyed most this month is seeing how differently families use Bunched.

Some are using it as a private baby album. Others are creating bunches for holidays, birthdays, different sides of the family, or groups of friends. Some families use it every day, while others return to it when they want to share something special.

As one user put it:

“Such a great way to stay connected with family friends, especially if they live far away.”

Another summed up the experience simply:

“So much better than a groupchat! Everything’s organised, the photos look great and I don’t have to scroll past 100 messages to find one picture.”

That’s the problem we wanted to solve from the beginning. Not just finding another way to send photos, but creating a proper home for the memories that matter.

And we’re only getting started

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has downloaded Bunched, created a bunch, invited their family, shared feedback, and taken the time to leave a review.

Every comment helps us improve the app. Every feature request gives us something to work towards. And every family using Bunched reminds us why we built it in the first place.

We’ll keep listening, improving, and finding new ways to help families keep their memories together.

Because life’s sweetest moments deserve more than getting lost in a chat.
